Unwritten Dreigiau
Unwritten Dreigiau is the name given to an attempted re-write of the original Dreigiau story, created in 2016. During a NaNoWriMo of that year, 14 chapters were written, of which only two were ever released.
The idea behind this re-write was to reframe the world of Dreigiau and deep-dive into culture, lore, and story-beats the author felt the original lacked. There was a much heavier leaning towards the supernatural Ghost Clan enemy in the re-write, while introducing a number of new plot-elements into the flow of the original story, and more deeply exploring the culture and city of Nefol.
However, upon introducing the new version, the response towards the re-write wasn’t supportive. The feedback included an objection that too much of the lore and worldbuilding was being exposed, removing the previous mystery of the origins of the Arweinydd and Dragon-kin.
Due to this feedback, the rewritten chapters were removed and the rest were never released.
Some of the supporting lore content designed for this re-write was repurposed in the Lore section of the Nefol project.
