Hey there and thanks for stopping by this blog post! A LOT has been going on with Wayrift this year, and I wanted to write up a quick recap of what’s been accomplished and where things are going in 2025!

I also want to take a moment to wish everyone Happy Holidays! Wayrift will be taking a vacation for a couple weeks in December as the Authors are getting together IRL to celebrate! I’ll post up a banner on the main page with specific dates in the future!

So what has 2024 seen on the Wayrift website?

• The full content of the WayWiki has moved to be hosted on the main site.
• The original Book 1 Overview was recovered and recreated!
• All of Book 1 and Book 3 chapters are fully updated with the re-coded chapter improvements!
• I’ve been able to work ahead enough to make a buffer that makes posting Wayrift twice a week a possibility!
• I’ve also made pages larger and worked at increasing the intricacy/number of frames each page in order to help make the storytelling pace more snappy!
• I’ve established a BlueSky account (Aywren) where I’ve focused on sharing updates, sneak peeks, and Wayrift commentary. Feel free to follow!

What’s next on the agenda?

I want to tackle re-coding all of Book 2 chapters to include the new improvements and bring all chapters into line. It’s the last book that needs the update as I finished the newest (Book 3) and the most challenging (Book 1) already.

I want to create Overview pages for Book 2 and Book 3, just like Book 1 has.

Maybe a new website banner. It's not our 20th anniversary anymore, I know. ;)

I’d like to create some sort of author’s art gallery, but I’m not sure exactly what that’s going to look like or where I’m going to host it yet. I still have my old Deviant Art from years past, but I’m thinking of doing something more locally hosted.

Aside from that, we’ve got a LOT of plans for the 2025 storyline of Wayrift – including more new characters and figment antics. We hope that you’ll join us to see what comes of it all!
