After the destruction of the Lunar Homeworld, the refugee race of people, Lunarians, escaped on a ship to a world they called the Blue Planet. In both the original Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy IV Pixel Remaster scripts, FuSoYa indicates that this planet is also called Earth.
FuSoYa talking about the Blue Planet
This world is the native home to the humans, dwarves, elves, and other creature races whose cultures were still developing when the Lunars arrived. It was decided that rather than disturb the natural evolution of the creatures of this world, the Lunars would instead place themselves into statis on the Red Moon and wait for a time in the future to colonize the planet.
This, of course, didn’t go the way anyone had planned, thus leading into the Crystal Wars, and the eventual departure of the Red Moon from the Blue Planet.
