The Lunar Medallion was a gift that KluYa (DS Dimension) gave to Ben after his failed trial on Mount Ordeals during Darkstar Chapter 10-3: Final Reunion.
Story excerpt:
Golbez lowered his hand and peered into his open palm. Cecil could see a soft glow of deep green spreading from it, a color that matched the depths of the Master Wizard’s eyes. The illumination came from a large, round gem set into the heart of a medallion. Etched into the stone was the image of one planet orbited by four moons.
The green gem is likely a crystal of KluYa’s own make. The engraving – that of a planet orbited by four moons – represents the New Lunar Homeworld. KluYa never saw nor lived on this world, but was thought to have likely crafted this image through the power of his fore-sight.
The medallion doesn’t seem to have specific magical properties - if it does, Ben either doesn’t know of them, or won’t tell others about them. Still, Ben values the medallion as one of the few gifts he has to remember his father by. He always wears it on a sturdy chain around his neck.
