Ben: But I thought they were... gone.

Leona: Yeah? Aren't most events like that duplicated between the two dimensions?

Ben: Not always. Sometimes something happens to make events branch off. But it has to be something pretty significant... something that changes the flow of time. If it's big enough, a diversion can even split a dimension into two copies. But that's pretty rare.

Leona: Okay..? What he said.

Ben: It does happen, though. How do you think there are so many dimensions?
