FSY: Apparently. And he spent time among a group of somewhat primitive humans, far from civilization. That is really all that we know of KiNa, besides the fact that he was eventually contacted by Zemus.

Ben: What? Zemus? Why?

FSY: How Zemus knew KiNa was on the Blue Planet is anyone’s guess. The same as he knew of your family, I suppose. Zemus couldn't leave cold sleep, so he found others to architect his plans. KiNa is a master of machines and technology… he was the perfect one to help build Zot.
