Sam: Though, you lost your son, and losing family does strange things to people. Causes them to do things that they regret out of terrible pain. Even good people.

Kip: This is not what I would choose to do if I had the choice.

Sam: What did you do before you got in trouble?

Kip: I was a technician. I built machines... computers... flying ships... that sort of thing.

Sam: Oh? *laughs* I'm not smart enough to do anything like that! I have enough trouble trying to get my magikmixer to work. *picks it up*

Kip: It's not about smarts. It's about passion... and understanding the machine, like understanding people... *glazed over look*

Sam: o_O

Kip: Of course, that doesn't mean that machines don't need a kick or two. But even people need that sometimes.
