(The next day...)

Kory: *standing at a board, with a picture of the Rifts, and two Blue Planets and the Borderlands, lecturing* At first, there was a great deal of trouble keeping the two rifts stable... in fact -- one of them suffered a temporal distortion of sorts... *points to a little picture of Ben on the board* But with a little work, we were able to stabilize the second rift.

*most of the people in the academy -- sleeping*

Max: *watching intently* How strange… the coloration of that boy's hair and eyes - reminds me of a certain someone…

(Meanwhile)

KY: *yawns, coming out to the kitchen -- the next day* Benjamin? Korirrrroooooo!? *stretches*

Ben: *sticks his head out of his door upstairs in the loft* I'm up here, Dad?

A question from the audience: So what you are saying.. is that you've created a dimensional rift between two worlds? With some sort of void in the middle?

Kory: Not a void… a living, breathing dimensional pocket - shaped by the power of mind! *goes to answer it, pointing at his blackboard* Connected between the worlds by... *points to a squiggly lined web drawn on the board* The Infinite Ways... it is a set of paths which connects the universes together...
