Summary
After a short day of recovering from the previous Way-trip, Ben has made up his mind to return to the Borderlands to help Kory and KluYa find their way home. However, on his way sneaking out of Baron, Leona catches him and adds her company to his journey.Leona offers the back wall of her garden to Ben as a Rifting spot, and the two of them head back to the Cottage in the Borderlands.
There, they find that Zeb has taken up residence in the Cottage, with no sign of Kory or KluYa. After a heated exchange with Zeb, in which he claims to have sent the two "home," Ben traces the energy trail of the rift that was used to transport them. However, what awaits the two on the other side is Mt. Ordeals, shrouded in all of its grim mystery.
